Emma // Summer Intern - 2025
The Jefferson Church’s Internship was an experience I will never forget. Over the two months we spent together we got to minister to others, spend time together, and serve the community.. all while having fun and making great memories! Coming out of this experience, my faith has never been stronger. The Internship gave me so many answers I had been searching for. I now know what my calling is and how I can use it in everyday life. I will always be thankful for the people I got to experience the summer with and for the amazing pastors that poured into us!

I had such an amazing time not only seeing what it was like to work in full time ministry but also just being able to be a part of such an amazing team. The culture at TJC is something special. Everyone plays their specific role, and it all comes together to create such a homey atmosphere. If I could give one piece of advice if you’re thinking about the TJC summer internship… DO IT. Dive in headfirst and see what God can do with your “yes”!
Livi // Summer Intern - 2024
This experience was life changing! It pushed me out of my comfort zone and into a deeper relationship with Christ. The daily devotionals, VBS, church camps, and Axis Conference grew my faith. I am so thankful I got to experience it with the other interns. If you are feeling spiritually empty, not sure what your next steps are in life, interested in ministry, or you just need something to do next summer, I encouraged you to apply and let God work!
Departments
Creative arts (Worship/Production)
- Worship Team : Opportunity to lead at worship experiences. Development time in instrument or voice. Worship leading training. Help worship pastor with daily tasks. Get Sunday worship experience needs fulfilled throughout week. Sunday Morning Set up and Tear down needs.
- Production : Lead production teams and this includes camera, lighting, sound, stage. Assist with upgrades and installs. Constantly cleaning. Post Production needs for online services, and online needs.
Church operations + Events
- Planning and executing events
- Assist campus staff each weekend
- Work alongside door holders each weekend
- Assess and improve current processes
- Assist with all Guest Experience responsibilities on campus
- Maintain relationships with door holder leaders & teams
- Coordinate logistics for campus supplies & resources
- Assist with implementing & improving processes
JYTH (Youth Ministry)
- Plan & coordinate student events
- Identify & recruit students to participate in connect groups
- Assist in planning the Student Summer events
- Maintain database of leaders & students (Planning center)
- Help lead a connect group
- Learn to prepare messages and preach messages
JKIDS (Kids ministry)
- Serve in JKIDS each weekend
- Research learning activities for kids ministry
- Coordinate purchasing of supplies
- Assist with volunteer communication
